Nowadays, people are becoming more & more style conscious, even wedding albums are becoming decorative. Photographs & Video Tapes/CDs/DVDs are precious memories of joyous moments, so get hold of the person who will capture the happenings of the d-day for you to preserve them for times to come.
- The most memorable & of course, the most expensive event of your life has to be well recorded for the future.
- Try to book experienced photographer through references. shortlist and interview selected photographers and videographers based on your specific needs and requirements.
- Discuss your tastes and check whether he had handled similar weddings.
- During the wedding season, good photographers and videographers need to be booked at least two months in advance.
- Check out the portfolio of the pro in question, check out the rates involved & only then go ahead with the order.
- Project charges for photographers and videographers may vary accordingto the time of the year, as will the cost of extra photos, special effects, videotapes, etc.
- Book your photographer as soon as you have seen his previous work and are satisfied with it.
- Inform the date & time of the wedding, as well as those of pre & post-wedding ceremonies.
- Give both the photographer and the videographer a list of ceremonies to be covered, and the sequence of events. Catching the right moments on film is particularly important. Prior to every function, ensure that the mood and style of the pictures and special effects, if any, discuss with the two professionals.

Keeping in view the chaos, excitement, and constant movement and the number of people involved in the wedding ceremonies, it is imperative to work out all the details beforehand.
- Give them suggestions on special effects in videotaping. Special effects in a videotape may include inclusion of music at appropriate moments, a brief narration of the family history, a visual of the family tree, showering of rose petals etc.
- Videocassette recording is not a very grand idea any more. CDs are clearer & long lasting. So preserve your precious moments on the same.
